Shuri Textile Hall suikara Experience / Workshop
Ryutan Pond area
A facility where visitors can encounter Shuri's two great dyeing and weaving traditions: Shuri-ori textiles and Ryukyu bingata. Run by the Naha Traditional Textile Industry Cooperative, it relocated to Tonokura and reopened in 2022. It houses a workshop for training the next generation of artisans, a modern exhibition gallery, a shop, and an information desk, offering an up-close look at the dyeing and weaving traditions nurtured by the royal court. Located along Ryutan-dori, close to Shurijo Castle Park, it's an easy stop along a walk.
