Shuri Soba Nakada Restaurant

Ryutan Pond area

An Okinawa soba shop, a sister shop of the well-known "Shuri Soba," opened in December 2021. Located near the Ikehata intersection, on the path from Ryutan Pond toward Shuri Castle, it has the advantage of being closer to Shuri Castle than the main shop in Akata. The hand-made noodles are a touch softer than the main shop's, a distinctive pairing with the clear broth that only a sister shop can offer. The small interior has just 8 counter seats, with tables made of Ryukyu limestone, and many diners add a bowl of jushii (Okinawan seasoned rice) on the side. Like the main shop, it closes as soon as the noodles sell out, so arriving early is wise.
