The menu ranges from royal-court and classical Ryukyuan dishes to creative Okinawan cooking, and its Okinawa soba, made with an additive-free broth, also has a strong reputation. The shop's name, "Miruku Yugafu," refers to the peaceful, abundant world brought by Miruku, an Okinawan deity of abundant harvests whose name derives from Miroku (Maitreya, the Buddhist deity of the future); "Kataidokoro" means "a place for conversation," and chatting (yuntaku) with the friendly owner is very much part of the experience. Conveniently located about 4 minutes on foot from Shuri Station.
